What should I do about a red spot / stain on the cheek?

I have a red spot on my cheek … a bit like a scar from a bad deal I had in the past. I put the cocoa butter everyday for weeks and it still does not. As a matter of fact … this has not been even lighter. I went to a dermatologist and he gave me Duac topical gel and Vanoxide … which are both for acne. The Red Spot is not acne, for sure. I had effects similar to where I do not get scabs on my face. Rather skin peels and leaves a dark red stain. I am very pale and I do not really have such a clear "spot" on my face.
